ronin
Cannot give any specific infromation but find out how it operates first. On a short imaging course it was mentioned that you took an avi (via a webcam), then put the avi into registax and selected the (say) best 20% for stacking, it was then (pretty sure) mentioned that a Meade DSI took an avi and only kept the best (say) 20%. So in effect it selected the best frames for stacking and threw the rest away. Now this may be a configuration setting, as in keep best x% or keep all. I would expect it to be.The point is the camera may not operate quite as expected.

zakkhogan
The meade dsi needs Autostar\Envisage Software to run, it should have been supplied with the camera. The dsi dosnt produce an AVI image like other brands of ccd\webcamshttp://www.meade.com/support/downloads.htmlhttp://www.meade.com/manuals/TelescopeManuals/dsi/DSI_III_manual.pdf

zakkhogan
Excellent, i would suggest settiing it up during the day and experimenting with the camera on some landscape objects, It can be quite tricky to figure out in the dark, also it will make setting th parfocal ring much easier
