just a quick Q...pro's and con's of 1.25" & 2" EP's

The 2 inch format allows a wider true field of view. As such, you'll find long focal-length wide-angle eyepieces come in 2 inch fittings. The 2 inch format is also that much chunkier, a consideration for heavy eyepieces and if you're mounting a DSLR.

As cantab says they afford wider FOV's, If you look at a 40mm 1 1/4 inch EP it will have a FOV of 43 degrees, the 2 inch versions of the eyepiece has as much as 68-72 degrees. However as much as I like these beware, they are often heavy and they cost a good deal more.

mhh thanks guys! i think 2" EP's are the way forward then. weight or size does not bother me but a bigger FOV is niceee :) thank you :D

Cantab the weight of the EP does not matter as i connect my dslr via prime focus so i dont use EP and DSLR at same time :)
