Orion Startrailed , first go at this.

Recommended Posts

Popped out for a breath of fresh air at midnight , blow me down it was clear-ish . . .

Couldn't be bothered to set up main rig as Sat24 showed just a small gap closing in so I plonked the camera on a mini tripod with the 18-55 @ 18mm and aimed in the general up direction .

APT grabbed 21 x 60s @ ISO 800 through the rapidly building clouds and "Startrails" lumped them together in no time.

Will definitely have a proper go at this next time it's clear and I'm a little less rushed.

Just aborted take two , beautifully clear at 9'o' clock . . . cloud and fog rolled in by twenty past . . .

Ended up with what looks like a massive Mayan planet breaking up in the atmosphere . . . :p

Quite a nice effect as Orion and Jupiter disappeared into the murk . . .
