White balance on webcam?

I've started using a webcam for imaging Jupiter and, being new to webcam imaging, I didn't know what to set the white balance to so I left it on Auto. I'm just wondering what the white balance should be set to or if I should leave it on Auto. All advice is appreciated.

My advice would be too experiment , you will soon discover what works best for you , if you are happy with a result , nothing else matters

I prefer to have it turned off if at all possible.

If it's turned off, everything has blue hue. Too high, and everything has a yellow hue . I could do color correction in GIMP but for the sake of saving time I'd rather fix it via the white balance.
