Christmas Day Jupiter / Moon / Io observing challenge.

Looking forward to Christmas?

Well in the evening Jupiter will br right above the moon. A great view and imaging opportunity..

But wait..it gets better

Io will transit with its shadow around 10pm..

So try to capture all three bodies for a special competition winner image....

But it will probably be cloudy...

You might need to go south a few 1000 miles to get the best view as Jupiter will still be 1 deg from the moon in the UK I think..

I'll be 1000 miles south but I'm betting it'll be rough as there too.

No scope either but I'll have my camera although that means no Io.
