Can't find avi file from SharpCap

Hi all

Just back from a brilliant viewing session of Jupiter with my 8 year old daughter. What made today so special was that for the first time we managed to successfully get Jupiter onto the laptop screen. My daughter's class is about to start a project on space and she is excited about being able to take the video we made to school.

BUT i can't seem to find the avi file. I used SharpCap to capture Jupiter. All that i seem to have though is a folder named Capture 07_12_2012 22_12_21 and a txt file named CameraSettings.txt.

I did notice there was an error in the bottom left - Previewing : 0 frames ***LX configuration is incorrect***

Any ideas if there is an avi file that i can't find or have i just done something wrong.

Mine defaults to the desktop for some reason - Oh I aint set it up ptoperly hehe

Could be that zero frames were captured to as you got an error

Did you set the software to LX mode ? If you did, Sharpcap may not capture the file iof the camera is a standard webcam with no long exposure mode (the lx mode is for Philips Toucams that have been modified to allow long exposures)

Yup looks like i did indeed set it up in LX mode, do'h

Thanks morningmajor I'm quite chuffed with the image and so is the wee one. I've put the image and avi file on a memory stick for her to take to school in the morning.
