Deep sky stacker problem :(

Hi everyone, I have just purchased a Canon EOS550D Moded camera I am very pleased with it , but I seem to have a problem with Deep sky stacker !!!

When I stack the images the final stacked picture is just white ... On closer inspection there seems to be a thin sliver of picture down the left hand side !!

I have downloaded the latest version of DSS ..beta47 and this has not helped

any help would be very welcome ... starting to pull my hair out now (even though I dont have any)
