Canon 1000d and qhy5v

anyone had any problems with them interfering with each other, as soon as i switch the dslr on the screengoes crazy on phd and everything else follow with it, i thought it was because i was running them down the same usb cable but tried on seperate ones and no change.

it seemed to be caused just by them being near each other.

anyone had similar problems or know how to sort it out?

I run a QHY5 for guiding and a 1000D as a main camera on separate USB leads and have never had a problem. Do you run the 1000D from its own battery or with a lead off the powertank / mains? I always use the internal battery (I have 2 of them and swap when necessary).

yea i use the internal battery also
