saturated NGC 604 in my M33 - combine exposure lengths

Recommended Posts

Here is just over 8 hours data (10 minute subs) on M33, shot with Altair wave 102 F7 triplet, and ATIK 314L Colour CCD, from Nerpio, Spain.

My NGC 604 looks saturated and I was wondering if there is any point in shooting some shorter exposures to try and capture it better, or am I trying to peel a grape, here?

Nice image. You've used that 8 hours of exposure and a dark sky to good effect.

What do the pixel values look like for the NGC604 region in the original stack, before stretching? I'd be surprised if you were getting to full well depth at F/7 with a 10 minute exposure. Mind you; I've been surprised before  .
