bluesman81
According to Scope Nights, between the hours of 6pm till 9pm it's supposed to be cloud free. The rest of the night is cloudy though. At least for 3 hours there should be stars visible. I have forgotten what they look like....
euphony
Well it's been terrible again here lately. Friday was cloudy, Saturday was clear, but we had a localised shower just before it got dark that caused so much moisture around me and in the air that I couldn't see a darn thing, Sunday was supposed to be clear, but it was cloudy. So that was the weekend over. This week.Monday: CloudTuesday: CloudToday: Nothing but a complete blanket of cloudForecast for Thursday and Friday is, yes, you guessed it, cloud and Saturday is forecast heavy rain.I love this country. Mr Q
Well, what if every night was clear? How long would it take before most of us get bored with observing and move on to other hobbies? Like the old saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" so do cloudy nights make our hearts grow fonder for observing on those clear nights. But you guys in the U.K.? I don't know how you can stay interested in the hobby with so much clouds If it's any consolation, it makes my clear nights that much more appreciated here in the U.S.
