  1. Yep same here looks like imaging going be waste of time tonight i can see the haze causing star bloating on my images.
  2. Hi i have removed the scope from my celestron cpc800gps and would like to mount this on to my skywatcher neq6 pro mount any recommendations of what dovetail mount i need?.
  3. HI that's caused by the bright star at the edge of the sensor not a lot you can do except maybe flock the inside of the baffle tube and scope by that i mean line it with dark material available from first light optics.its the reducer reflecting the light back into the scope.
  4. Clear here even though every weather site says its cloudy with chance of showers i just cant be bothered to open up and polar align, then as soon as you start guiding the clouds would probably roll in.
  5. Very poor night here clouds going over now.thats 2 poor nights in a row.
  6. Was all going well then next door lit the fire as well as the central heating running so now smoked out, smoke seems to be wafting about every were not happy!
  7. Not a cloud in the sky all day finished work and looked up to the south and see clouds rolling in now a covering of thin clouds, weather report says it will be mostly clear from midnight till 4,this hobby just don't work in the uk.
  8. Not great here i seem to be circled by low mist above looks clear but star count down in sgp and my mean count high PhD guiding keeps dinging so think my ha subs with be rubbish.
  9. I have created a master bias with pixinsight from my zwoasi1600mm pro temp was set at -20 and a exposure of 0 seconds total images 200,I created with image integration using linear fit sigma low 4000 and high 2000 then applying a superbias with 5 layers and applying a 24bit function does the super bias look correct with the dark patch on the right?.does everybody else's super bias look similar.
  10. Hello i have fitted a new zwo eaf automatic focuser to my williams optics star 71 and am struggling with how to set it up with sequence generator pro, surely you have to set when the focuser position is fully in and out does anybody no of a good tutorial written or video or have some settings to get me going.
  11. Hi i have a spare power supply ,Will i be able to run my new zwo eaf automatic focuser that requires 12v 0.5A or more to run it thanks?.
  12. I have the zwo asi 1600mm pro that now and again seems to dew up last night all went well till 3 this morning and clouds came over so i stopped imaging left camera running at -20 so i could take flats in the daylight but when i took them i could see a dew circle in the middle of the image so last nights images are now no good as i have had to take the camera off and bring into house so no flats.I see zwo sell a dew heater on there site but by looking at the image they have it fitted to they have a spacer attched to camera so wont rest on the dew heater my camera has the filter wheel screwed on were the spacer would be so would clamp between camera and filterwheel i cant see this doing the dew heater element much good, has anybody else fitted one of these dew heaters?.
  13. Thanks Carole I will look back at some images I had from new I bought it new flo before they started checking them before dispatch.i seem to remember the images were always worse when we had frosty nights.
  14. Thanks all it does look like pinched optics would it be the element at the front of the scope that needs slightly lossening off or at the focusser end
