  1. Before i mount my zwo eaf electronic focuser to my refractor zwo says to For the standard bracket installation The 0 position is recommended to be set to the position when the focuser is fully retracted? so is this when focus is all the way in to the telescope or when the tube is drawn all the way back? then i would need to zero the postion in the ascom driver?.
  2. I'm going to be fitting the compatible zwo eaf bracket to my celestron 8" scope but i am unsure how to setup Nina,Were would i set the focuser 0 position or does it not really matter as long as i got room in and out to focus?.I think backlash compensation method probably would be overshoot method. What Backlash setting would i use in or out?.
  3. Been trying to contact Williams optics via there email link for the last couple of weeks but never seem to get a reply from them,it seems they just cant be bothered to answer emails even if they cant help, very poor service has anybody had problems with there customer service lately.

  5. maybe it was the falken nine 2hrs ago
  6. just saw something heading north looked like a satalite but further away in the distance it got seemed to get like a massive dust cloud around it about size of the full moon, maybe it was a space rocket and its plume?
  7. Yeah seems to be guiding ok on 16 bit.
  8. Hello what bit rate should i be using for phd guiding2?
  9. I'm thinking of purchasing one of these and deforking my celestron cpc800 gps and fitting scope to my neq6 pro mount,I see i will have to remove the finderscope on this model any ideas on or how i could remount the finderscope?.
  10. All I can say about the QHY8L is mine lasted about a year sent it back to China it was cheaper to send it there than to have it returned, anyway it lasted about 8months went wrong again something to do with the readout chip,so now just gathering dust in cupboard,I did email them other day about how much a new circuit board would be and fit myself, board would cost 110usd then import charges etc on top so how much total would be wouldn't like to say,so that's put me off all qhy stuff now,zwo all the way my asi1600 now 3 years old.
  11. Thanks for the explanation Adam when williams optics made this model scope they made lots of promises about the quality and a lot of people were let down, having five elements may not help, maybe ok with a dslr but when using filters halos are a problem thanks again.
  12. Hi Adam thanks for having a look i'm using the williams optics star 71 mark1 connected to the zwo 7 position filter wheel with baader ccd 36mm filters fitted then straight onto the asi1600mm pro heated element fitted to camera. I've attached some tiff images processed in pixinsight of m81 lrgb witch have been slightly cropped dbe process run and easy processing script stretched. 13. I have my zwo filter wheel connected to my asi1600mm pro when i use my bahtinov mask on the luminance filter the centre spikes seem to be on a strange angle but when using other filters like the red filter they seem fine is this maybe down to the front glass on the asi1600 and the brightness
