M77 in Cetus.

Very clear and frosty night, the dew was horrendous followed by a neat frost.Even the Lightbridge primary got dewed and hairdried.

Was pleased to get a central core to M33 at x100, it was really quite noticable. Then over to Cygnus and the Blinking Planetary NGC6826. At x48 it appears in the same fov as a bright double and another double. At x100-x200 the slightly blue halo flicks on and off and the central star is clearly visible.

Then down to Cetus and M77,to the left of Delta .There were 2 bright spots at x48.This and the surrounding fuzz looked almost like a cluster. Further magnification showed bright spots to the spiral arms. Quite surprising how bright and detailed this was.

Very pleased with this as it was from my light polluted site (home). Had a tour of the usual suspects, seeing was brilliant.

Minus 2 of frost, came in like an orange lolly!

Nick.
