HEQ5 mount service

Hi stargazers.

Can anyone advise me on servicing a motorized synscan HEQ5 mount.

is it easy to disassemble etc and what would the procedure be for cleaning and re greasing etc.

regressing with white lithium grease and making sure the gears are meshed together nicely makes a world of difference i done it with my old heq5 goes nice a quiet aswell once done

I am not technical in any way, but followed the Astrobaby link and managed to strip down and regrease the DEC axis. It made a big difference and certainly cured the excessive backlash problem that had developed. The mount runs like a dream now.
