I just had to image something last night, but long exposure work was out the question with all the fireworks and the glare of the Moon so out I went with my camera tripod and modded 350D. I'm quite happy with it considering the condtions which include Moon a few degrees away, LP from Ipswich town and my neighbours array of 100W light bulbs and no curtains, firework flashes and smoke drifting in view, and low declination. Still it gives it that rustic feel:D

Have you tried the Startrails freeware:

Gives some good results with tripod shots.

Thanks laser I'll take a look:), I recken I could really get into widefield if I can find skies dark enough:)
