Best stars for aligning Synscan goto

Ok here is a question oh knowledgeable ones.

I'm now going to attempt aligning my skymax goto, my garden views roughly from northwest north and northeast.

What would be the best stars to pick for this angle of view ?

A couple of months back I used vega and Arcturus many times very reliably. Couldn't get it working last night for the life of me though. Start there if both are visible for you

Keep in mind any stars you use (apparantly have to be 60 degrees plus apart)

I try and select alignment stars in the quadrant that I'll mainly be observing in. Tarazed and Algenib are good for that sector,

Capella in the East North East, Deneb in the West North West.

Aldebearen in the South East.

Lyra is in the North West but may be too low.

I use Capella 1st star as it easy to locate - next brightest left of Jupiter.

Polaris as 2nd star, as it is alone so it's obvious which star it's going to.
