Capricorn
If you want a list of "pretty" ones try this:http://dvaa.org/AData/ADDoubles.htmlSeen the same a few times but I think this was the source, did have a list of 200 of them somewhere, possibly on the PC or a memory stick. rwilkey
I love double stars and for me the bible of double stars is the Cambridge Atlas of Double Stars here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Cambridge-Double-Star-Atlas/dp/0521493439/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1350981477&sr=8-3Here is another link to some very good drawings: http://www.deepskywatch.com/doublestar-sketches.html
Qualia
I'd essentially suggest gettting yourself a decent Star Atlas like Sky and Telescope's or the one rwilkey has recommended and within the limit of your telescope's resolving power hunt out the doubles plotted. When needing to find out about these stars using a site like this one is very helpful.Other than that, here's a little list of stuff:200 Beautiful DoublesUseful litttle list esp. for urban gazersanother nice listYou might get into measuring them and if so, this page acts as a nice introduction. Along with that introduction, this journal is often full of very useful information and tips. Finally, I have found this site useful for information on Struve splitting. Hope that helps a little.
