Can anyone help with the design of a pulley system for a roll on/off roof?

I have a simple pulley system in my obs, just a double pulley with a line over it, pull one to open and the other to close. Being a single pulley there is no mechanical advantage but with another in the system you could gain some advantage.

Thanks Martin, Think I'd need a two pulley system as the roof is very heavy and takes some heaving...Was thinking along the lines of a garage door motor ( i have one installed on the garage door ), the thing is I'd need to have it on the outside on the frame which the roof rolls on to. Id also need to make the motor water proof.

The downside with the pulley method is housing all the ropes and pulleys. My build has two rooms, the warm room has no access to the roof space above, so all the pulling will need to be done from the telescope room.
