Hi all

Frustrated at not being able to get a colourful image of the milkyway so I went back to processing two 20second exposures I took in Italy in august. I've been stacking 30 minutes worth of exposures in the UK but get nothing like this. It's made me realise that expensive kit is useless without a dark site

The trees are lit up nicely in the pic though (I do alot of landscape photography lol)

Dark skies seem to be pretty rare nowadays. At the weekend i'm planning on taking a drive to find a dark but safe site. Seems to be every dark site doubles as a boyracer hangout.

That is stunning. I'm going to see if I can get me a real milky way shot someday soon.

Oh I forgot to add, I have the same camera and Kit Lens, check my gallery for some stuff I made outside where I live near Arlanda, Sweden.
