Tripod for grab n go scope

I have been using a Skywatcher AZ-3 mount for sometime now and have used a number of scopes on it. For scopes up to 100mm (short tube) it provides a stable and very portable solution. One of it's big plus points is slow motion controls on both axis making some higher power work possible. They cost around £80 new I think.

Hi

I'm using a Manfrotto 055PROB with a 410 geared head.

I use my ZS66, PST, Bins and camera (No not at the same time) so it's very versatile.

It's good with bins because it extends much higher than a standard photo tripod. I think you can but the looky through end at about 6feet. I'm very happy with the geared head, works a treat.

cheers

DAve
