Hi everyone ... I have a question that perhaps I should know by now ;O)

But here goes .... I have found a faint galaxy using and eyepiece and I now want to image it ... once I have atached my DSLR I canot see it through the view finder... so I want to aim my scope at a bright star so I can use my bahtinov mask ..... now this is where my problem starts !! I now cant find the galaxy again ( the goto dosent quite 'bullseye' the galaxy ... is there a way of marking the position and then returning to it with this setup ?

You could jot down the co-ordinates on the handset and slew back until they match again after focusing.
