Ready for the off......

So after some reading, research and lots of help here I think im now ready to have a go.

For those who are interested I ended up getting a filter draw system for my modded Cannon 450d which will enable me to have Camera, Coma Corrector and then Filter draw in my chain.The filter draw is ideal as I can use my SA100 for Spectroscopy and then swap out and use my Ha filter for imaging etc.

I have installed ISIS and read the tutorial several times so all that's left is to get a spectrum hopefully one night this week.

Possible targets are Capella (moon may be an issue ?), Vega or Altair - I assume something like 30 secs on ISO 800 but happy to be corrected.

Good luck.

You might find 30 seconds a bit long, not sure about DSLR, on my mx9 I take 1 second or less for bright stars.
