registax 5 help

hi, just a little bit of help needed here. did a bit of planetry imaging the other night with a web cam using sharpcap, have used this before but this was on a very old desktop, had a new laptop the other day so put the software on that, anyway done the image/terrible but when loading to registax 5 (should i use 5 ?) it comes up with this error. failed to start avi decompression,codec mjpgvids. anyone seen this before or no what it is, all help appreciated. thanks

Two possible reasons

1. The AVI format is incompatable with registax. You can convert the AVI to an older format using VirtualDub.

2. The codec required to load the AVI format is not installed on your computer, if you intall the camera onto this machine it might cure it.
