Ebay gets bad press on SGL for some reason I buy and somtimes sell astro items and if you take care to email and check you should be fine, alway remember never pay outside of ebay if possible collect item all the things you would do buying from any online buyer, also accounts have been hacked showing good feedback but selling nonexsiting items the old addage if its too cheap then buyer beware.

Id pick it up. But am concerned that it would have hidden problems that my inexperience wouldn't see or the motors are on their last legs.

I buy from fleabay all the time, mainly cheap stuff to take apart to see what use I can put the parts to, but have to say that I do get very good bargains on there.

Could be a great bargain. I've bought ep happily. But when it gets to get£500 that's a lot to risk on inexperience . Grrrrrr decisions!

Buying from ebay is relatively safe as long as you research on what you are buying before you bid. I've bought and sold equipment on ebay before and didn't have much problem.
