Mount modification or not?

I would like to use my Vixen SP to autoguide and possibly even connect to some planetarium software. I have the dmd-2 controller but only a RA drive.

What should I do?

1. Buy another vixen motor, add some sort of port to the controller, buy a PC/controller interface and download PHD.

2.Buy a "synta motor kit", buy a PC/controller interface and download a load of EQMOD stuff.

3. Buy another mount with the required functionality.

4. As 1. but without buying another motor to see how things turn out.

5. Something completely different.

As you may have already gathered from my rather vague options, I also require detail as I have little experience in customizing mounts.

Sounds like buy a new mount that does what you want would be best but it's also the most expensive, of course. If you want to do imaging a good mount is paramount - the most important piece of kit.
