Celestron CGEM counterweights

Hi Everybody!

I have been looking into buying a Celstron CGEM to mount my Skywatcher 10" Newtonian tube on.

I am confused with the counterweights as all telescope supplies claim to have two sets of 11lb (5kg) Celestron counterweights. One for the CGEM costing roughly £60 and one for the CG-5 costing roughly £30.

Celestrons website say that they do two types of 5kg counterweight with the product codes of 94186 and 94203 and they both 'work' with the CG-5 and the CGEM.

Am I being stupid in thinking I can buy the £30 weight (claims its for the CG-5) and using it with my CGEM?

Thanks for reading,

Neil
