Questions about using 1100D canon

Hello guys,

Some questions please?

1. How do I set the screen so it stops lighting up at the end of every exposure? I have dimmed it to lowest but cannot find a way to turn it off.

2. When canon connected to PC via USB does it get its power from USB too? Or still runs on its battery...?

3. What do you use to cover the viewfinder to stop light getting in there? Sure, could just put on black electrical tape but that's sticky as anything an sometimes in daytime I do like to use the viewfinder.

1) don't know if it is possible, doesn't bother me.

2) no, it runs off battery.

3) it comes with a rubber cover - mine was on the strap.

1) in the 300, ect there is an option in the menu to turn off the review time.

would have thought it would still be an option on the newer ones.

Turning off image review will stop the last frame being displayed...
