Can I connect Skyscout to skywatcher EQ3

Hi

Thinking about getting one of the skyscouts for my son as he's getting in to Astronomy as well, Anyone know if it can be connected to a skywatcher EQ3-2's Synscan?

Which seems o say you can in the short technical details.

Reading further it seems to be a cable only, which at £103 seems a bit steep for a cable - Product Description.

Additionally a bit concerned that there is not a Celestron option, if it were as simple as a cable I am sure Celestron would have produced one.

The SkyScout on it's own is a great casual learning tool, if you get the speaker unit or use headphones the audio descriptions are really well done. There are also a few SD cards with extra content, such as an introduction to astronomy, all done in the same professional audio style and voice.

As the SkyScout is very sensitive to metal I would not recommend connecting it to any mount or scope other than the one specifically recommended by Celestron, which perhaps has special materials that do not cause interference.

The extra content SD cards are extra purchases, though worth the money in my opinion.
