Slightly improved M31

Still having problems with the gradient despite improved flats and moving the scope so as to avoid the street light shining into it.

Any criticism/advice is most welcome.

Certainly looks like light pollution to me. That's what I get when the moon's out. Apart from that it's a good image, showing the dust lanes well

Thanks Gina, you are right about the LP its pretty bad here, however its definitely in part my flat frames, even though I have them close to the middle of histogram I am still doing something badly wrong as here is a retry without them in the mix:

Still struggling with taming the core and brighter regions without making them funky, I need to do some reading I think, and fetch Steves book out - sure he shows an M31 process in there.

A couple more plays with this not sure I can get much more out of it in 8bit

1st a colour interpretation complete with halos

And my preferred rendition in mono:
