telrad finder saves the day

hiya all its been a while since i was last here.i took delivery of my new telrad today and fitted it to my scope and what a difference it has made,a lot bigger than i thought.my celestron was fitted with the worst red dot finder ive ever seen and does not serve its purpose,it almost made me loose interest as i cannot afford to change my scope as i saved hard for this one.after setting up the telrad it worked perfectly and i was bang on target with everything until it went misty with dew,think il have to look around for dew shields or a heater.all in all the telrad saved the day and has boosted my enjoyment of this wonderfull peacefull hobby,are there many other telrad users here who enjoy them )

Mounted a telrad on my dob beside the 9x50 raci finder. Works brilliantly , I wouldn't be without one now!!

Dew shields for the Telrad are simple and cheap to make yourself and seem to get better reviews than the proper one! This link should help: http://www.homebuiltastronomy.com/downbino/HomeBuiltAstronomy-TelradDewShield.html A sheet of foam on ebay is only a couple of quid.
