Off to exmoor

Well it looks as if the weather may hold out for Tuesday and Wednesday so as I'm off work I'm going to pack up the car and head to exmoor for some proper dark skies.

Any advice for where the best place would be to go?

I have one location in mind but wondered if anyone has any first hand experience of some good locations.

I would keep away from the northern part of the park because of the light pollution from Minehead. Otherwise there really isn't much there to cause problems. I am just off the eastern edge of the park and it is pretty dark here (NELM 5.5+).

Didn't go in the end as the forecast didn't look too good

It was clear last night, with a bit of cloud around 2:30am, but it cleared again afterwards. Clear forecast again for this evening. Otherwise it looks fairly pants both day and night until Saturday.
