New Maksutov-SCT adapter

In their wisdom Skywatcher don't use the usual SCT thread for their Maksutov telescopes so it isn't possible to directly fit an SCT focuser. We produced a Mak-SCT adapter designed to solve this but Skywatcher moved the goalposts when they changed to another thread, so our adapter no longer works. But, we have noticed Astrotec have produced a new adapter that works with the latest Skywatcher Maksutov 127, 150 and 180 telescopes.

We don't stock Astrotec products but the adapter can be ordered direct from their website HERE.

Have just heard Wayne Weedon is about to release one too (they are like buses!).

He has two on the drawing-board "one uses the Synta 2" receptacle ring and a simple SCT adapter and the other is a screw on fully self-contained adapter".

I don't know which one will be released but Wayne can be contacted HERE.
