Meade 4000 eyepieces upgrade?

I have a ultra-wide sky watcher 25mm eyepiece and was wondering if I got a Meade 4000 25mm eyepiece, would this be an upgrade?

Is your current eyepiece one that came included with a scope ?. If so, a Meade 4000 plossl would be a moderate improvement. I think these are 26mm though so make sure you are getting a plossl and not a Meade 25mm MA which would be about the same as your current eyepiece.

Yer it's the one that came with the scope it says on the box super 25, wide angle, long eye relief. The one I was looking at was a Meade 15mm 4000 thinking of going between the 25 and 10 I already own. Thanks for your help bit of a newby to all this. What would be a big improvement

The BST Explorers / Starguider eyepieces are reputed to be a really noticeable improvement over the eyepieces that come with the scope. They are sold by a dealer called Skies the Limit:

The Vixen NPL plossls are a little less expensive than the above but still very nice eyepieces:

Both the above should perform well in all types of scope - what type do you have by the way ?

A sky-watcher Newtonian reflector 130. So it's nothing special but don't want re buy EPs when I eventually upgrade

just as a thought i have tried the bst and they are good but for similar price the ts hr eps are very good in deed modern astronomy sell them or you can google them only £45
