Autumn is here!!

After a very dormant summer of stargazing there have recently been some clear nights.

Although I haven't had chance to take advantage of them, I did step out with the missus before going to bed... What a sight! Never even in the winter have I seen a clearer sky. We even saw the milky way very clearly, plus a very fast meteor, which may have been a Perseid??

Anyway, sods law dictated my scope was not set up, therefore going to bed happy, but also knowing I need to set the scope back up tomorrow just in case!!!

Fingers crossed for some clear skies jn the Bowland Forest, Lancs - that's where we are this weekend!

Bowland is beautiful - we were marshalling the Tour of Britain last time we were there - just love those beautiful green hills and valleys. Where are you staying? Farmhouse b'n'b? or Camping?
