new eyepieces help

Recommended Posts

I've got two SW SWA's in shorter focal legnths and they are good if rather specialist, my recommendations are the same as all other posters here, my primary ep's are the BST Explorers/StarGuiders, however, I have tried the Vixen NPL's and they are crackingly sharp ep's, the 30mm is especially sharp on DSO's.

Thankyou for that ive been looking at vixen npl`s they reasonably priced.

I have the ES 68 degree 24mm EP that is very crisp and gives great views. I don't have anything with a wider FOV right now. (until I get my 9mm Nagler). I use a 12mm TV Radian ALOT so I can recommend them. It's a great lens. It only has a 60 degree FOV but is sharp and nice to use

Thankyou for that with £150 ish spend on eyepieces what would you go for then. By the way have you filled your mounts legs with fine sand it makes hell of difference with stability.

I can recomend SWA EP's by ES and Meade as I have used them and do fit into your budget. Actually the Meade UWA lenses are going cheap right now I think.

If I filled my mounts legs with sand I would put my back out when lugging it up the garden so no I haven't. My mount is pretty steady for my OTA so I'll leave the sand on the beach and keep myself out of the hospital spinal unit
