Stack of 84 frames using the 1100D (from 95 taken) @ 1/2000 through 640mm focal length SL80. I received a remote timer / trigger a couple of days back and this seems to have helped a lot. I can get ~100 frames taken quickly before the sun has chance to move very far and I am no longer holding the shutter release with my finger, which must have generated some blurring of the images.

I am still trying to get a GIMP process that I am happy with but I am pleased with the results so far.

Great details. You caught focus nicely.

I think you can get a bit out of the picture relatively easy. Try adjusting highlights (this has to be done in the raws) and contrast.

If you don't have a shutter release cable try using the self-timer , set it to 10s delay then things have a chance to settle down from your manual release before the shutter fires,

if your set-up's pretty rigid you'll probably be OK on the 2s setting.

Steve.
