Quickcam 4000 pro with 0.5 focal reducer troubles

Hi guys,

Got my 1,25" 0.5 focal reducer today.

Works just fine on Ep's. (on my ST80)

But when screwed to a EP adapter on a quickcam 4000 it seems not possible to focus.

Does that mean that the focal reducer is to far away from the chip?

It also looks like I have to little inward travel in the focusser, but can't confirm that 100%

Am I doing something else wrong?

You are doing nothing wrong. The focal reducer, as you have discovered, moves the focal point inwards.

So on a webcam adapter it would just not work.. maybe using a film cannister cutted back would help...

I wish I knew these things before purchasing..seems nothing works out of the box lately.. lol
