Telescope/mount home position

I can't seem to find the correct home position for my scope on my HEQ5 mount. Once polar aligned I attach the scope in the weights down position however when the mount slews to the first alignment star it is almost opposite to where it should be. Can anyone point me in the right direction (no pun intended)?

Home position is weights down and scope towards Polaris. Then power off and power on before going through the setup. Remember date is in mmddyy format

Had the same problem with my Celestion CG5 GT and had to go back into the Menu and reset to 'Factory settings'
