Moonlight focuser

Hi I have a moonlight CR1 fitted to my reflector, the barrel is getting scored by the bearings, is this somthing i can prevent, are the bearings adjusteable or is this just something that comes with use.

I have an older Moonlite CF2 refractor focusser and it's showing similar wear "tramlines" on the upper side of the drawtube. There are 4 bearings that the drawtube rides on so I guess they are bound to leave some sort of mark over time, depending on the load that the focuser has been carrying. You can buy a replacement drawtube from Moonlite if you wish.

Keep the rollers on the top of the drawtube clean by cleaning them down with a soft cotton bud helps a lot. The score lines appear when drek gets on the rollers.

It's just the anodising coming off. You could get it re anodised. In fact, there are even kits for doing it at home in the oven.
