I was busy browsing eBay & came across a Guillemot Dualpix Webcam I've never heard of one nor is it the cheapest webcam that I've seen but in the description it claims to have a CCD sensor so might prove interesting.

You could allways bid for it and test it.

I see it uses the hercules duel pix drivers

i have wii cam that uses the same drivers they are very senstive to light.

so would be ideal for moon imaging/ solar / planetary.

I might have a mooch around online later & see if I can find one cheaper & save it in my faves, it does look promising though.

you wanna buy one them xbox cams from ebay they easy to mod then again they loads ccd cams / maybe for longer exposure's try looking for some digital camera's with ccd with all the iso settings

I've already got a Philips webcam for planetary & recently brought a DSLR to have a go at some DSO imaging (hopefully)

Although these webcams caught my eye & as they are supposed to have a CCD chip. If i find one cheap enough I might buy one & mess about with it just to see what results I get & post the results.

Although I can't see it being for a while yet as regards the weather so I wont be rushing LOL........
