help for a friend-imaging set up

I have recently bought a second hand 250 px, the guy I got it from is looking to get into imaging, what scope would be best? A newt of around 8" or a smaller refractor? something like a 80 or 100 apo.

Personally, I'd go for a small frac. I have both for imaging and never use the 200p. I just swap cameras between the CCD & DSLR based on object.

It depends on what you want to image, check out "making every photon count" by Steve Richards, This book will explain everything in simple terms what you can get out of almost any set up.
