How much does an EQ5 mount weigh?

According to telescope.com the Skyview Pro (same as EQ5) weighs 36.5 lbs fully assembled (16.5kgs) and the counterweights weigh 11.5lbs together (5.2kgs). The mount + tripod, excluding weights, should then weigh 25lbs ( 11.33kgs)

Thanks, I've also looked at the Orion USA website, but I was unsure whether this is the true weight because different vendor sites give different numbers.

I have some real numbers as we have some travel planned and needed to know how heavy my mount options were. I didn't want the wifes bag to be over the luggage limit. :)

These are with the counterweight shaft but no counterweights.

EQ5 (non-goto) head = 5.5kg, tripod = 5.3kg

CG5-GT head = 6.4kg, tripod = 7.3kg

Super Polaris head (RA drive only) = 4.2kg, Wooden tripod = 4.3kg

Set of Al legs off EQ3 type mount = 2.6kg

Steve.
