Ts Optics Ed Lens Same As Bst Explorer?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if the 12mm TS optics branded ED lens here on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Flat-field-eyepiece-60°-NED12/dp/B0055BLUHG/ref=sr_1_75?ie=UTF8&qid=1338888477&sr=8-75

is the same as the 12mm BST Explorer? It certainly looks very similar. Someone kindly gave me an amazon voucher for my birthday, and it's burning a hole in my pocket...

There are a few of them around, in the US they are Astro-tech Paradigms, there is the one you have seen by TS (They get their name put on it), Green-Witch have their version as does SCS Astro.

However they can cost twice as much depending on who you get them from.

Think that Skies the Limit are the least expensive followed by TS.

Since Alan sells a lot I wonder why he hasn't had STL put on his ?

Since they cannot be called BST Explorer's just thinking that STL ED2 might be a suitable alternative.
