compatable ep's

Hi Gang, I am joining the Dob mob shortly by buying a 200p. What i want to know is, are my vixen npl 30mm and 15mm a good match for this scope or should i upgrade? I also have tal 2x barlow and 2 ep's that came with my mak 127 25mm and 10mm (the usual cheap plossel's). Thanks.

The 15mm would be great, although you might be better with something like the GSO 32mm Plossl instead of the 30mm NPL.

They should both work pretty well. The NPL's have a decent reputation as good plossl's. Think your scope is f/6 and they should handle that OK.

Easy answer, when you get the scope stick each one in and have a look.:D

Both your 30mm & 15mm NPL's will work well in an 8" dob.

I have a 200P dob and rarely get down to 6mm. Depending on your budget I would suggest something in the 12-8mm range, perhaps the well regarded BSTs from http://www.skysthelimit.org.uk/telescope%20eyepieces.html

With the 12mm and your TAL 2x barlow, you're covered for those occasions when you would want a 6mm eyepiece.
