tookreciept of my lifecam today, which I shall soon be modifying as per Mr. Gary Honis' excellent instructions. Billet parts are all out of adaptors so am intending making my own at work.

Question is....

where should the cmos chip sit, relative to the collar that will sit on top of the focuser tube, to best enable good focussing? or is there enough 'range' in the focuser to pretty much get focus wherever the chip sits?? (within reason)

thanks in advance

Rick

Somewhere there are some images of mine inside a Skywatcher 25mm eyepiece that should help. Off the top of my head I'd say the sensor is about as far back as the end of the 1.25" metal collar.
