O rings for flex tube struts?

A while ago I found an O ring on the floor but couldn't figure out where it came from.

As it turns out it came from one of the struts on my Flex tube to act as a dampener for when the OTA is extended but due to the law of sod I can't find the O rings now!

Is this something to be concerned about? I mean, when I extend the OTA now it knocks when its reached its limit so would this possibly put collimation out? (I'm pretty gentle with it anyway).

You can pick up O-rings in any motor factor or Halfords for pennies. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find one to suit.
