Did anybody see that one at about 3.00am? it started at the top of cassieopea and shot straight down and lasted for about 5 seconds? had a really bright head on it? Meteors occur something like 40 to 70 miles up in the atmosphere, so if you see a meteor overhead, someone a hundred miles away may see it close to the horizon, or not at all.
