That's a good question. I'm actually looking to build up a catalogue of sketches of some DSOs using different apertures this summer. I think it'll be interesting to compare what I get from different scopes.

I was thinking along the same lines today but using the same scope for two sketches, one at home and one at my dark site. I'm thinking of trying this with a globular cluster.

Really nice sketch and very similar to what I can see with my scope. Do you think under great conditions and skies, with good eyepieces and perfect colliimation that the central star could be resolved in an 8" scope?
