Looking for a new camera

Hi all,

I am looking for a new compact camera around £150-£200 for normal holiday usage. I was curious if there is anything I could get that would be able to be used for short exposure work with my scope? I know they are not really built for the job but if there is anything that could get a reasonable image with the scope that would be great. Should I be looking CCD or CMOS for example?
