I have a SW 50mm finder and have removed the eyepiece end to make it a finder/guider. I just unscrewed the cross hair from mine and took the picture below. It simply unscrews. It also holds the whole finder eyepiece together - so be careful, all the spacers/lenses etc will fall out once its undone!

I hope you can see the details - the cross hairs are resting on the eyepiece cap.
