I wonder if anyone knows whether it's possible to use a secondary mirror from a SW 200P Skyliner Dob in a SW 200P Explorer? I do know the mirror from the dob is slightly smaller but is it too small?

If you go to the Stellafane website and find the web-based newt design application you can put in all the details of your scope and it can tell you what sort of size secondary you need. I'll see if I can find the page in a moment.

One has a focal length of 1000mm the other (Skyliner0 1200mm so i doubt it would work as the mirrors i would think are ground to a different angle or what ever its called...

It seems the 8" dob has a 47mm secondary but my 200P explorer has a 58mm. Looking around the web it is possible that the smaller mirror would be ok, in fact using stellafane's tool 47mm is actually too big so why they have a 58mm in them is anybody's guess.
